ドイツで家探しをしているところ、絶賛大流行中という住宅詐欺に引っかかりそうになった。
ことの発端は、「家探してます」というわたしが出した掲示に対する1件の問い合わせ。今、思えば色々おかしかったのだが、人間というのは都合よく解釈してしまうものです。そう簡単に人のこと疑えないよ・・・
下記におかしな点を振り返りつつ、流れを書いていきます。

的なのがモロに出ている。が、複数きた問い合わせのうち、この人だけメールアドレスを書いていたので、「メールアドレス書いちゃいけないのかな？」とか、「この人なんかちょっとやらかしちゃったのかな？」くらいにしか思っておらず、普通に連絡してみた。
最初の問い合わせ
ブロックされた例のメッセージはこんな感じ。Veronikaと名乗るお若い女性とのこと。

I am a 22 year old girl and I am currently finalizing my masters and internship in small NGO promoting sustainabillty company Indianapolis, USA.
I've been living heresince last month so I'm very familiar with the city. I also lived in Paris, Slovenia, England and Turkey before and I shared my apartment in all these places for years.

The apartment is located at 20 Germaniastraße munich bavaria. (Virchowstr.- near Münchner Freiheit, Bonner-Platz) with U3 / U6, tram 123 and various buses, transport connections to A9, A99.
To the bus stop about 1-2 minutes, to the U6 / U3 about 4-7 minutes. on foot.
Lidl and Baker just around the corner. Netto Market, Tengelmann and Rewe within walking distance.
To Marienplatz about 15min time.
The English Garden can be reached by bike in about 5 minutes and walk about 15 minutes.
Ungererbad about 5 minutes walk.

なんかすごい奴。長文。NGO団体でインターンシップとか。22歳でマスター終えるって、飛び級してる？叔母さんはFederal Government？
そして添付されてた写真がまたすごい。モデルルームか、ってくらい綺麗。プロが撮ったとしか思えない。が、「いやーすごい子もいるもんだ。相当お金持ちなんだろうなー、こんなに綺麗な写真も用意してて、部屋貸すの慣れてるのかな。ラッキーだわー」なんて思ってました。

それから2月10日の13:28に彼女の返信しました。簡単な自己紹介と、内見に行っていい？という旨を。するとわずか10分後、13:39に返信が。

Thanks for the reply and proper introduction of yourself .but due to a lot of inquiries for the room, and you hardly can tell if it's serious or not. let me have the details below for a reservation,
-FULL NAME,
-MOVE IN DATE,
-MOVE OUT DATE,
-CURRENT ADDRESS,
-PHONE NUMBER,
-AND A FORM OF IDENTIFICATION
so that our family lawyer can have the Lease agreement contract form prepared for you to read the terms and conditions of the lease,if you are okay with it, you can signed it , after which you will proceed one month rent payment to my aunt bank account for the the room to be reserved for you, as I can’t have the room reserved without a payment due to my previous encounters.
I have reserved the apartment twice lately on two unserious requests for the room. the first person told me his visa was not approved by the embassy after reserving the room for a month and some days and the other girl Jennifer from France said she has no money with her to pay for the apartment after reserving the room . The money was used for a project during her internship. I hope you understand.
The Lease agreement form will be sent to you via attached mail to be signed after which you will proceed with the payment to my aunt bank account. find the attached scanned copy of my german ID, as a form of identification and assurance of who you are dealing with.

なんか急にシリアスになった。添付には彼女のドイツの身分証明、キメてる系の顔写真、それからなぜかテイストが違うお風呂の写真が。ここでやっとおかしいと気付きました。わたしのIDを送る必要ある？前払いする必要ある？というかドイツ人なのになぜ英語？自分の身分証まで送ってくるのはなぜ？
一瞬、「この子が自分のIDをさらけ出してるならわたしも応えなきゃ」と思ったのですが、「・・・もしかしてわたしのID、こんな風に使われるのでは？もしかしてこのVeronikaは以前に騙されて、情報渡しちゃった子なのでは？」と思い始める。
それからドイツに住んでいる友人にも連絡してみると、
- そのロケーションで€400はありえない。
- 自分のIDとか、相手のIDを求めることはない。
- 前払いはない。
- family lawyerとか、いかにもちゃんとしてる風を装ってるのでは
で、「それ詐欺だよ」と言われ、「・・・だよねー！」となり、それから何もしてません。
よく考えてみると、
- ドイツ人なのになぜかずっと英語（英語が好きなのかな、と思ってた）
- 冒頭は「hello,」だけで、わたしの名前が入ってない
- 同じこと何回も言ってたり、添付の写真のファイル名がドイツ語と英語が混ざってて変
- わたしの質問に微妙に答えてない
- 返信が早すぎる
などなど、おかしな点がいっぱい。でも全部都合よく解釈してました。
友人によると、「到着した日に入居するね！」と言って前払いも済ませた人が、その家に行ってみると全然違う人が住んでて「なんの話？」と言われ、そこで詐欺に気付いた、なんていうのも聞いたことがあるそうで。
ということで、その家が存在しているのか絶対に内見に行くこと、絶対に前払いはしないこと、を肝に命じたのでした。
